FRENCH GARDEN STYLED SHOOT AT THE TANGLEWOOD ARBORETUM

I adore everything about this editorial!  A lover of soft and fused pastels, this project is a tour de force of romanticism and just the right amount of viva la difference to make everything pop out from the ordinary. Shot by North Carolina based photographer, Alayna Kaye, here's what she had to say about the collab, "When Eliana and I first started talking about wanting to collaborate on a styled shoot, we knew we wanted garden style florals and a clean, light and airy color palette with a touch of drama. We added the slate blue and deep crimson touches to the always classy blush and pastels to achieve this. We kept gravitating toward everything French inspired and decided to run with a French Gardens theme. The gorgeous farm style table we used was actually a DIY project by Eliana that turned out perfectly. The models are a real couple who were celebrating their 2 year wedding anniversary in the same gardens where they took their engagement photos. We had scheduled the shoot a few months out and it ended up being the week that Hurricane Irma was hitting NC, we somehow lucked out because the day before the shoot it was pouring rain the whole day, and it continued the day following the shoot. With the hurricane affecting flower imports, Eliana had to get creative and use a few flowers and "weeds" found here in her backyard in NC. Everything came together beautifully and I personally feel that those lesser used flowers and greens made it uniquely captivating . . . ."
