WU TUESDAY

It's 9 PM Tuesday evening and I just got a look at Michelle's gown. Though many were expecting her to reinvent first lady inaugural wear with deep and jewel-tones, white (or ivory) is pretty much an inaugural night custom and if Michelle is anything, personally, I think she's the more traditional of the Obama pair. So, I wasn't too surprised she showed up looking, kinda, sorta like a bride.
Up and coming Taiwanese-born designer Jason Wu created Michelle's gown. It reminds me a bit of an Oscar de la Renta with the rosettes scattered over cream chiffon? Of course everyone that has anything to do with fashion is allover Wu's state-of-the-art site this morning. Again, Michelle looks very bridal in Wu's diaphanous concoction--train and all--and in a way, aren't the Obamas in a sense marrying all over again? Not each other but this time the country that adores them.
